At FreshJagua.com, we take pride in offering premium-quality Jagua gel that artists around the world rely on. While it’s rare, we know that sometimes a bottle may give you trouble — and we want you to be fully equipped to handle it if it does.
One of the most common issues artists report is that the Jagua gel gets stuck in the needle. This is not necessarily a sign that the gel is too thick. It can happen for several reasons:
1. The Needle Size Matters
If you're using a purple 21-gauge tip and it feels blocked, we recommend trying a larger size — such as a 20 gauge (pink) or even a 19 gauge (black). These are all available on our website.
2. Filtering Issues During Production
Though we filter every batch with care, occasionally a filter may rip or fail. This can let small particles through, which may clog a needle. We visually inspect filters during production, but very rarely, a flaw may go unnoticed. If you suspect a bottle has this issue, just contact us. We are always happy to exchange any product that isn’t performing as expected.
3. Quick Fix for Emergency Use
If you’re mid-session and can’t afford to stop, here’s a DIY fix:
-
Take a woman’s stocking (pantyhose) (nylon).
-
Pour the gel into the stocking.
-
Squeeze it using gloves into a Ziploc bag.
-
Snip a tiny corner of the bag and refill your bottle through that.
This simple trick can help you filter the gel manually and keep going until you receive a replacement
4. If the Gel is Actually Too Thick
This is much rarer. But if it is too thick, you can dilute it slightly with sterile water or jagua juice — we also sell that on our website. Use very small amounts and mix well.
