We're so excited to be offering the first Hengua - (Henna powder infused with jagua juice) dried powder on the market made from top-quality ingredients, using our Fresh Jagua juice and Henna powder and a little love it'll give you a stain like never before! Our Hengua powder is made in our US facilities under the highest standards and quality. We use the best names in BAQ Body Art Quality) Henna offering Jamila Brand Hengua providing a super black stain. Also, we offer Organic Rajistani Hengua providing a super dark brown stain like never before. We encourage you to experiment with the two and make your very own artistic shades and colors, have fun with it! Simply add some lemon juice, essential oils, and a little sugar or maple syrup to your liking, just like mixing Henna!

Please note, that when making a batch of hengua powder, you will need less liquid than you are used to using when making your regular henna paste! Here’s a suggested recipe:

100g hengua powder
2 tbs lavender oil
4 oz water. Add more if you need for desired consistency.
1-4 tbs sugar (if needed! If you live in a humid climate, you may not need sugar! If you live where it’s super dry, you will!!)
I recommend starting your paste off with 4 oz and letting it sit for an hour. If you need to add more, do it a teaspoon at a time, until you get used to mixing the hengua paste!

100g of hengua powder makes about 10 ounces of paste.
Hengua paste can be coned up and ready to go within the hour. Or if your time gets away from you, it won’t hurt it to sit for a day or two as you can see from the photos below.

You can mix your Hengua powder with henna powder to create different variations of shades in bigger batches.
Or you can mix your Hengua paste with henna paste and create  various shades to make smaller batches.
In the photos below,  the 25%, 50%, 75% pastes were made by mixing the powders and then making the paste. Example:
The 25% mixture was made by mixing-
 1/2 tbs Hengua powder
1 1/2 tbs henna powder
1/2 tbs lavender oil
1/2 tbs sugar
1 1/2 oz water.

50% mixture-
1 tbs Hengua powder
1 tbs henna powder
1/2 tbs lavender oil
1/2 tbs sugar
1 1/4 oz water

75% mixture-
1 1/2 tbs Hengua powder
1/2 tbs henna powder
1/2 tbs lavender
1/2 tbs sugar
1 oz water

To create:
70%,80% and 90% I find it easier to create these ratios by mixing the pastes!
So I mix a batch of henna. Let sit, and about 2 hours before your henna dye releases, I mix my batch of hengua. Creating the different ratios is easy by grams.

10%= 1 g hengua paste 9g henna paste
20%= 2 g hengua paste 8g henna paste
30%= 3g hengua paste 7g henna paste
40%= 4g hengua paste 6g henna paste
50%= 5g hengua paste 5 g henna paste
60%= 6g hengua paste 4g henna paste
70%= 7g hengua paste 3g henna paste
80%= 8g hengua paste 2g henna paste
90%= 9g hengua paste 1g henna paste

Let’s see your creative side. Post pictures of stains created by different shades! #freshjagua !!
